🚀 Getting Started

VanGuard is easy to set up and ready to protect your server in minutes. Follow these steps to get started:

1. 🔗 Inviting VanGuard

To invite VanGuard to your server, click the link below and follow the prompts to add it: Invite VanGuard

2. 🔒 Required Permissions

VanGuard needs the following permissions to operate effectively:

  • Manage Roles — to assign and manage roles

  • Manage Channels — for message and channel management

  • Read Messages & Send Messages — to interact with users

  • Ban Members & Kick Members — for moderation actions

  • Other permissions are seen in the auth2

Make sure these permissions are granted to avoid any issues!

3. ⚙️ Basic Setup Steps

Step 1: Invite the bot to your server using the link above.

Step 2: Assign a Moderator or Administrator role to VanGuard.

Step 3: Configure your prefix (default: !) and other settings by running the !prefix {new prefix}command.

Step 4: Enable or disable various features based on your needs by pinging vanguard @vanguard.

Once these steps are completed, VanGuard will be ready to help you manage your server!

4. 🛠️ Server Preparation Tips

  • Set up moderation channels for logs (e.g., bans, kicks, warnings)

  • Ensure VanGuard has the right permissions to access and manage the necessary channels

  • Consider adding a welcome channel for new users and VanGuard’s verification prompts
